How it works
-
Spot a business
It counts if the business publicly says it accepts Dogecoin: a "Doge accepted here" sticker on the door, DOGE at checkout on their website, a menu or social post that says so. Any business, anywhere in the world. It does not need to be on DogeList already... in fact it should not be. If it is already on the map, no need to add it again.
-
Grab your proof
This is the secret to a fast approval. Give us one of:
- a link to the page or post where they say they accept Dogecoin (best),
- a photo of the sign or sticker at the shop,
- or a short note telling us how you know, so we can check.
No proof means we have to do the digging ourselves, and your submission may be rejected if we cannot confirm it.
-
Fill in the form
Business name, plus at least one of: a street address or a working website. Both is even better. Pick a category, drop in your proof, and hit submit.
What happens next
Your spot appears under My spots in your dashboard with a pending badge while a moderator checks it. Once verified, it goes live on the map for everyone, you get your +75 points, and we send you a notification so you can share it. Most submissions are reviewed within 24 to 48 hours.
Points are awarded at the moment of approval, not submission. A spot approved after the weekly reset counts toward the new week, so nothing you earn is ever lost to timing.
If we cannot verify it, you will get a note explaining why, and you can fix and resubmit. Honest mistakes cost nothing.
What it pays
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| A business you spotted is verified and goes live on the map | +75 |
| That business later claims its pin (rolling out with business claiming) | +75 |
Points count toward your all-time rank and the weekly bounty. See How to climb The Doge List for the full points table.
The fine print (fair play)
If a business you added turns out to be fake or wrong and gets removed, those points come back off your total, and repeat offenders lose the ability to submit. Duplicates and unverifiable submissions are simply not approved. Play it straight and none of this will ever apply to you.
Own one of these businesses?
Claiming your spot is free. Open your business's page on TheDogeList and look for "Claim this business". Once verified as the owner, you can edit your info, add photos, and even start selling with Dogecoin right here on TheDogeList.
