Which wallets work

Wallet	What you need	Where it works
myDoge	The myDoge app (the DogeOS social wallet).	Inside the DogeOS app it connects on its own. On a computer, tap Connect and pick MyDoge from the list that slides up.
DogeSoft	The DogeSoft app on your phone. On a computer, add the DogeSoft extension for Chrome and pair it with the app (scan the QR code once).	On your phone, open thedogelist.com inside the DogeSoft app's built-in browser and approve right there. On a computer, desktop Chrome with the extension; each sign-in is approved on your phone, or in the extension's own vault if you set one up.
SpookyDoge	The SpookyDoge extension for Chrome with a wallet set up in it, or the SpookyDoge app on your phone.	On a computer, desktop Chrome with the extension; each request is approved in the extension's popup. On your phone, open thedogelist.com inside the SpookyDoge app's built-in browser and approve right there.

Email and password work for every account, and Log in with Google works for any account registered under a Google email address (it finds the account by that email). A wallet is an extra way in, not a replacement.

How a wallet sign-in works

1. Open the wallet page

   Tap Sign in with myDoge, Sign in with DogeSoft or Sign in with SpookyDoge in the login window, or go straight to thedogelist.com/mydoge, thedogelist.com/dogesoft or thedogelist.com/spookydoge.

2. Connect the wallet

   Approve the connection in your wallet. DogeSoft and SpookyDoge ask the first time a site connects (DogeSoft on your phone when you use the extension, SpookyDoge in its popup, and right in the app when you use either app's browser); after that they remember you.

3. Approve the sign-in request

   Your wallet shows a short message from TheDogeList naming your address, a one-time code, and the time. Approving it signs the message and nothing else: it is not a transaction, it costs nothing, and it cannot be replayed later.

4. Link or create your account (first time only)

   If the address is new to us, we ask whether you already have a DogeList account. I already have an account takes your email and password and links the wallet to it. Create a new account sets one up with an email and password of your choice. Continue with Google is for accounts that sign in with Google, and Set a password with an emailed code gives such an account a password on the spot (both below). From then on, the wallet signs you straight in.

Accounts that sign in with Google

An account created with Log in with Google starts out with no DogeList password, so the email-and-password form cannot link a wallet to it until it has one. You have two ways forward, and both keep Google sign-in working:

• Continue with Google (on a computer or in a normal mobile browser). After the wallet signature, tap it, pick your Google account, and you land back on the wallet page with the wallet already linked. There is a ten-minute window for the Google step; if it lapses, tap Sign in again and, since you are now logged in, it is a single Link to my account.
• Set a password with an emailed code (works everywhere, including inside wallet apps). Enter the account's email, we send a six-digit code, and you type the code together with the password you want. You are signed in at once and the account now works with email and password too. The code lasts ten minutes; tap Send a new code if it expires.

The password you set is a DogeList password, not your Google password: pick a different one, and never enter your Google password anywhere on TheDogeList. You can also add a password any time from Settings › Change password, which shows a No password yet panel for Google accounts.

Inside a wallet app's browser

Google does not allow its sign-in page to open inside apps' built-in browsers, such as the ones in the DogeSoft and SpookyDoge apps. So in there the Log in with Google and Sign up with Google buttons do something different: they open the Set a password step described above. Enter your email, get the code, choose a password, and you are in. In the DogeSoft or SpookyDoge app it then takes you straight to that wallet's page, so linking the wallet is one more tap. Your wallet as a payout address

Payout wallets are the Dogecoin addresses buyers pay you at for your listings. An address you have just proven with a signature is a safe one to use, so:

• DogeSoft: right after you sign in we offer to use that address for payouts. If you already have payout wallets, it is added alongside them, never in place of one, and a tick box lets you make it the default. Tap Not now to skip; you can add it later with one tap from Settings.
• myDoge: if you signed in with a Dogecoin address and have no payout wallet yet, it becomes your first one automatically.

Addresses proven by a wallet sign-in carry a verified badge in your settings, so you can tell them apart from ones typed in by hand.

Managing your wallets

Everything lives under Settings › Connected wallets in your dashboard.

• Sign-in wallets lists every wallet that can sign you in and which app it belongs to. Disconnect removes sign-in with that address; you can still sign in with your email and password, or with any other wallet linked to the account.
• Layer 1 wallets lists your payout addresses. One is the default for new listings; you can switch it any time.
• You can link one myDoge social wallet and as many Dogecoin addresses as you like. A wallet address links to one DogeList account at a time.

DogeSoft wallet not found	On a computer: install the DogeSoft extension in desktop Chrome, pair it with the app on your phone, then reload the page. On a phone: open this page inside the DogeSoft app's built-in browser (other mobile browsers cannot reach the wallet), or sign in with your email and password or with myDoge.
SpookyDoge wallet not found	On a computer: install the SpookyDoge extension in desktop Chrome, set up or import a wallet in it, then reload the page. On a phone: open this page inside the SpookyDoge app's built-in browser, or sign in with your email and password or with another wallet.
The request was declined in SpookyDoge	You closed or rejected the popup. Tap Sign in again and approve it; it only signs a message and never sends coins.
DogeSoft is locked or not set up yet	Click the DogeSoft icon in your browser toolbar to unlock it, then try again.
DogeSoft did not respond in time	Your phone did not answer within a minute. Open the DogeSoft app, make sure it is online, and tap Sign in again.
Your wallet switched accounts	The wallet changed to a different address mid-sign-in. Pick the address you want in the wallet and tap Sign in again.
This wallet is already linked to an account	A wallet address belongs to one account. Sign in with that account, or disconnect the address from it first if you want to move it.
This account signs in with Google	Use Continue with Google, or tap Set a password with an emailed code under the form. See above.
This account has no password yet	Shown by the login window. Use Log in with Google, or tap Set a password with an emailed code right under the message.
Google sign-in isn't available in this app	You are inside an app's built-in browser. Tap the Google button anyway: in there it sets a password by emailed code instead. Or sign in with your email and password, or with the wallet.
That code is not right or has expired	Codes last ten minutes and must match the email you entered. Check for a newer email, or tap Send a new code.
Too many attempts	Code emails and code checks are limited to a few per hour per address. Wait a few minutes and try again.
